Here are my first impressions after the first few weeks (intenses!) campaign:
March 26 in Romans: "Fireproof"
First public meeting where I stand for united left (in a rather "ad hoc" from a few notes from the "Declaration of Incorporation United Left of the March 14, 2009) with Jean Bernard Suchel for the Left Party and Jacki Henin outgoing MEP CPF and tops the list in the northern constituency (where our friend Ernie Councillor Michele in Saint Etienne du Rouvray near Rouen is in 2nd position).
130 people in the room and a debate where the unitary step of our young political movement has attracted interest and even sympathy for the "applause" but especially in exchanges with fellow claiming the "Federation" but I don ' have not convinced him to join the campaign.
Roundtrip, alone in the car but brotherly "old" knowledge activist who moved from Lyon in the beautiful department of Drôme (which does not mean that the Rhone is not! but the Lyon side "quality of life" Hum! ahem!): Jean Bernard and "Nizou.
April 2 the great "métingue" Saint-Etienne: "Guess who just cause"
Indeed, initially united left was not expected to menu (or "cheese" or "dessert." 430 participants. No debate but poignant struggles (especially against the closure of the radiography unit in Roanne in particular).
There we were 2, with my old friend Denis. 8 April: meeting with Fountains (near Grenoble) with Elsa Johnstone UNITED LEFT.
